Arrest made after reports of hare coursing

Dear Resident,

We would like to thank the members of the public who contacted us on Monday morning to report potential hare coursing in the Manea area.

This prompted a joint response from our Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) and neighbourhood officers, who pursued the vehicle involved and detained four men after a short foot chase.

The outcome of the incident was:

All four men were interviewed, dispersed from the county, and will be reported for the offences.

Hare coursing remains a priority for the force, and we will continue to target offenders, work closely with our rural communities, and respond to reports to help protect our countryside.
